The delightful Hyveth Williams glows with contentment. Her very personal "Damascus Road" experience in 1978 completely changed her life. She attributes her contributions and accomplishments since then to "the miracle, measure and marvel of God's grace."
"I've found that there is only one way to spell grace -- L O V E," says Pastor Williams. "God has saved me from being a 'mud digger.'"
Dr Williams is the first woman senior pastor and also the first black woman pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in America. Her "Holy Boldness" has allowed her to pioneer unique avenues of service.
Currently, Dr Williams is the senior pastor of the Campus Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church in Loma Linda, California, and is an adjunct professor of religion at Loma Linda University.
Dr Williams presented this series on grace at the HMS Richards Lectureship on Biblical Preaching at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Adventist Preaching is a collection of sermon series presented by some of the most renowned preachers in the Adventist Church. It is produced quarterly to provide sermons for churches without speakers and to give members the opportunity to build a DVD library of favorite Adventist preachers.
